Executive Director


About

Dr. Lesley Keeling-Olson first came to Temple College as the Department Chair of Criminal Justice in 2002 and currently serves as the Director of Perkins Grants and as a Professor of Criminal Justice. She has been involved in Career and Technical Education (CTE) since 1989 as a practitioner and in CTE education for 20+ years. Lesley first completed a Bachelor’s from Baylor University before coming back to Temple College to obtain two Associates in Criminal Justice. She later completed a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University and a Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. One of her passions is working with Perkins and helping her Perkins colleagues understand and improve their Perkins Core Indictors.  She is an advocate for non-traditional genders in CTE and comes to the table with hands-on experience of working in a non-traditional environment. 

Lesley current serves on the WECM Advisory Committee and is the Grants Director for the WECM Renovation Grant.  In addition to WECM, she has a Perkins Leadership Grant that focuses on the Perkins Special Populations and through the work of the grant partners, Texas Perkins Basic Grant Directors have a Special Populations guide and in the near future they will have a guide for each category.
