Michelle Trubenstein started her journey in higher education in 1999 as an adjunct clinical instructor for the Respiratory Care program at Howard College in San Angelo. During her time there, she wore multiple hats, transitioning from faculty to department chair and eventually becoming the Dean of Health Professions. She also held positions such as Perkins Director and Dean of Workforce. Her involvement in WECM workshops and participation in the Health Sciences’ Program of Study committee with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) highlights her commitment to improving educational programs.
Since November 2019, Michelle has been serving as the Dean of Health Sciences at Blinn College District. Her responsibilities include overseeing health-related programs, ensuring quality education, and fostering student success.
Michelle’s educational journey has been grounded in CTE. She completed a certificate in respiratory therapy in 1992 and went on to earn an AAS in Respiratory Care, further enhancing her expertise. Her pursuit of knowledge continued with a Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) degree in Health Sciences from UT Brownsville. Finally, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Park University, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and administration in the healthcare field.
