I am currently serving as Vice President of Instruction and Student Services at Coleman College
for Health Sciences, Houston City College (formerly known as Houston Community College).
Before the Vice President role, I was the Director of the Workforce Quality and Development,
Curriculum and Learning Initiatives Department. Before this role, I served as Assistant Dean of
Health Sciences, Therapeutic Departments at Tarrant County College (TCC). During my role at
Tarrant County College, I oversaw seven allied healthcare programs, including Anesthesia
Technology, Central Sterile Processing, Health Information Technology, Medical Assistant,
Ophthalmic Technician, Physical Therapy Assistant, Surgical Technology, and two continuing
education programs: Pharmacy Technician and Medical Coder. Before TCC, I worked at HCC,
where I held multiple roles as a faculty member, administrator, district-level administrator, and
college administrator. My path in higher education started as a part-time lab coordinator in the
Pharmacy Technician program, the same program I graduated from in 2003.
Throughout my professional and academic journey, I have remained committed to service,
interdisciplinary engagement, and strengthening pathways that support healthcare professionals
and the communities we serve. I strongly believe in the transformative impact of higher
education within healthcare and remain a dedicated advocate for allied health programs. These
programs are essential to the healthcare system because they provide critical services, bring

specialized expertise to patient care, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute
significantly to improved health outcomes and quality of care.
My academic credentials are Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from the American College
of Education (2024), a Master’s in Pharmacy from the University of Medicine Sofia, Bulgaria
(1999), and a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University (2014). I am
also a certified and registered pharmacy technician.
