Vera Lewis-Jasper has been an integral part of Galveston College since 2010, initially serving as the Director of Continuing Education before assuming the role of Dean of Technical and Professional Education in 2011. In her current capacity, she provides oversight for allied health, nursing, public safety, and all technical programs, ensuring their excellence and alignment with industry standards. She also serves as the Perkins Director.

Before her tenure at Galveston College, Vera excelled as the Executive Director at Cuyahoga Community College’s Corporate College. There, she spearheaded the creation of the model for Global Corporate College, a pioneering workforce initiative adopted by 45 community colleges nationwide. With over two decades of corporate experience in engineering, sales, and marketing at esteemed companies like General Electric and Westinghouse Electric, Vera brings a wealth of practical knowledge to her educational leadership role.

Vera holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, reflecting her dedication to continuous learning and academic achievement.
